Animal sketches and studies 2019–2020

A selection of studies and sketches of cats, various birds, and other animals from several sketchbooks that I’ve been keeping. Some of them are drawn from taxidermied specimens from the local natural history museum, and others I’ve draw from my personal photos (except for the ravens which are based on photos I’ve found online).

Ink sketches (grayscale and red) are done using Pentel Arts and Pentel Kanji Fude brush pens. Color sketches are done using Derwent Studio and Inktense pencils. Other sketches are done using charcoal and Van Gogh sketching pencils.
