A selection of watercolor and ink sketches of cityscapes, landscapes, seascapes, beach scenes etc. of my hometown Rijeka, as well as from my local and international travels.
All of these are from the same A6 Hahnemühle watercolor sketchbook.
Playing fast and loose with a spray bottle. Initially I hated this painting, but the longer I look at it the more I like it.
I started using water-soluble ink more and more, especially in my minimal sketching kit. This turquoise shade is quite lovely because it can go very dark, and it suits the natural subjects quite well.
This particular bright orange (Talens Van Gogh Pyrrole Orange) has been sitting in my watercolor palette for just an opportunity like this. I consider it the perfect sunset color because it’s luminous, and doesn’t turn into green when mixed with blue. But other than that, I rarely use it on its own.

I think it’s interesting to see how my art has evolved over the years!
